Community Programs Manager
Miha is dedicated to getting people out of their cars and into their communities. She believes the best way to explore and experience a place is on foot. Miha was born in eastern Europe and grew up in Southern California where she attended the University of California Los Angeles. She received a Master’s in Geography with an emphasis in environmental design from UC Davis where she researched the potential impact of urban growth on agricultural land and complete streets policies in California. Miha has worked with organizations like the California Department of Public Health, AARP, Caltrans, Kaiser Permanente, Safe Kids, and numerous cities, counties, and school districts to create walkable and livable communities.
Most recently, Miha worked with WALKSacramento, a pedestrian advocacy organization in Northern California. Her work included reviewing development projects and policies from an active transportation perspective, managing several Safe Routes to School projects, and performing walkability and safety audits for schools and communities.
Miha is excited to continue working to create safe, healthy, fun, and equitable communities in Southern California and across the state with the Cal Walks team. She hopes to inspire young and old to get involved and be the voice for change in their communities.
